30 Weeks

How far along? 30 weeks, 5 days
Total weight gain/loss: Still right at 20 pounds up
Maternity clothes? Definitely
Stretch marks? Still no changes in stretch marks
Sleep: Still sleeping great. I honestly think I've been sleeping better than I normally would have pre-pregnancy since I got that Snoogle. I know I rave about that thing every week, but it is seriously so amazing!
Best moment this week: Hands down, our baby shower! I cannot even express how blessed and loved Greg and I are feeling right now. Our family & friends literally SHOWERED us with way more than we expected. We received so many nice & truly thoughtful gifts. And the shower itself was absolutely beautiful! I am so grateful to my mom for all the hard work and thought she put into making it such a wonderful event. I can't wait to share the blog post all about it! (Should be up sometime this week!)
Miss Anything? Nope
Movement: Lots
Food cravings: Nothing in particular this week. But still wanting those sweets!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Gender: It's a Boy!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Mostly just heartburn and feeling lots of kicking & moving in there.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Having Mason's nursery all organized and ready for him. And of course...for his arrival! Is it bad that I am hoping he might arrive around 38 weeks instead?

29 Weeks

How far along? 29 weeks, 4 days
Total weight gain/loss: I am right at the 20 pound mark this week.
I've had a kind of goal in mind of 25 pounds (max) as far as weight gain is concerned. (But I've still got just about 10 weeks to go, if I go full term!) I know you can't really control your weight gain or 'diet' during pregnancy...but I AM going to start being a little more careful about what I'm eating throughout the day. I'm still hoping I can stick pretty close to that number!
Maternity clothes? Yup.
Stretch marks? No changes here. Just those old translucent ones from years ago, but not seeing any new ones.
Sleep: I've been sleeping really well still. Thank God for the invention of maternity pillows!
Best moment this week: Having my sister & her boyfriend in town this weekend, and just spending time with family. Also, celebrating 'pre' Father's Day for Greg. I can't wait to watch him become a dad...I know he is going to be great!
Miss Anything? All the energy I had during my second trimester
Movement: Lots
Food cravings: Nothing in particular this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Gender: It's a Boy!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Heartburn for sure, and just less energy/stamina than usual. I get worn out a lot easier lately (which tends to annoy me because I just want to keep moving and shaking!)
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Going to a 4D ultrasound on Wednesday and getting to see a sneak peak of Mason's little face! (I'm actually most excited to get the stuffed animal with the recording of his heartbeat that we will get. I already know it will probably become my most prized possession!) And of course, SUNDAY! Baby Shower Day! Yay

28 Weeks

How far along? 28 weeks, 4 days
Total weight gain/loss: Uh...I am just going to avoid finding out the answer to that right now because a) I passed my 3 hr glucose test and b) it's my birthday! So I've been giving myself a couple days to splurge. Healthy eating resumes tomorrow.
Maternity clothes? I think I can officially say it's maternity clothes from here on out.
Stretch marks? Nothing new
Sleep: Sleeping great
Best moment this week: I had a lot of happy moments this week, but getting the call that I do not have gestational diabetes probably tops the charts. Also, turning 28 today while I am in my 28th week!
Miss Anything? Nope.
Movement: Yes, for sure...and more than just little kicks and jabs now. I feel like I can feel his entire body moving now. (And sometimes it's a really weird, uncomfortable feeling!)
Food cravings: Nothing in particular. Just the usual sweets of course.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Ugh yes. I ate WAY too much yesterday having a pre-birthday dinner (and dessert) with my friend. I need to remember that I am running out of room in there and can't eat like a cow in one sitting. Still feeling the effects this morning....bleh.
Gender: It's a Boy!
Labor Signs: No. Just noticing some Braxton Hicks here and there (mostly just in the morning).
Symptoms: Starting to feel pretty third trimestery this week. I had SO much energy during my second...and it's suddenly just slipped away from me. I'm starting to drag a little. Also feeling more uncomfortable and a little less tolerant lately.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: My baby shower...it's less than 2 weeks away now!! I really just cannot wait. I'm also excited to be sending out Greg's Drinks & Diaper party invites today! Excited for him to have a night of fun with his guys before little Mason arrives.

Never Been So Happy To Pass A Test...

I PASSED MY 3 HOUR GLUCOSE TOLERANCE TEST!

Prayers were answered and I have honestly never been happier to find out that I passed a test before in my life.  It was a bit of a stressful week for me, but I am grateful I can now relax and enjoy the rest of my pregnancy while still being able to SAFELY indulge in some treats every now and then.

Besides wanting to update you all on the status of my test, I also wanted to devote a post to my experience and what I've learned from going through this little bump in the road during my pregnancy. I think I've mentioned on the blog before how I am just one of those people who always likes to feel prepared, and know as much about a situation as I can beforehand. I want to know exactly what I am getting myself into, and how to prepare for it so I can walk into any given situation with confidence, and know how to handle it. Needless to say, I am NOT a fan of surprises! I was ridden with A LOT of anxiety over both of these tests (the 1 hour screening test and the 3 hour tolerance test), for the most-part, because I was given no certain set of directions or explanation about them. I was hearing different opinions from different sources, and wasn't sure at all what to expect. In fact, looking back now, I even feel as though I was slightly mislead. So I wanted to get all my thoughts and suggestions down on here while it's all still fresh in my mind, so hopefully, I can help a few other people feel better going into these tests.

Disclaimer: I am NOT a physician and have no proven medical knowledge or experience. In fact, science was one of my worst subjects in school. So I am purely speaking from my personal experience here. But here is what I WISH someone would have told me about the 1 hour glucose screening test and 3 hr glucose tolerance test beforehand.

Before the test...

First and foremost, as far as the 1 hour Glucose Screening Test is concerned, I would HIGHLY recommend that you fast beforehand. Some doctor's offices will go ahead and tell you to fast. But most, (like mine did) will insist that you can eat as you normally would before the test. In my mind, I reasoned that I would have a high protein and zero carb/sugar breakfast beforehand, because that would help me to not get sick from the drink. So about 20-30 minutes before having the glucola...I ate 2 hard-boiled eggs & 2 slices of bacon. And I truly believe this is where I went wrong and where I feel I was mislead. (It even said on the damn bottle to fast before taking the test). Again, I am not a doctor, but after the fact, my common sense tells me that any food you consume is going to slow down how quickly your body processes that sugar. Imagine if I had just eaten my normal breakfast beforehand (oatmeal made with almond milk and topped with half a banana and blueberries). Guaranteed, I would have failed by A LOT more than 2 points.

So what I would suggest is to schedule your appointment for first thing in the morning. Have a good, filling meal, a little later than normal the night before (so it will hold you over a little longer the morning of the test). Maybe just sip on a little water while you get ready for your appointment, BUT NO FOOD! If there is no way you can schedule your 1 hour for the morning, (because of work, etc.) you will obviously need to eat throughout the day. I would recommend having a high protein and low carb/sugar lunch several (about 4) hours before the test, and then nothing but water until after you take the test.

If you are stuck in my situation and have to go for the 3 hour test, I would say there is no way you can plan to go any other time than first thing in the morning, since you absolutely must fast for this test. So again, eat a good hearty dinner a little later on the night before (I had my dinner at 8pm). Then get to the lab as soon as they open the next morning to start your test (our hospital lab opened at 6am, and I was walking in the doors to register at about 6:05). Don't forget to sip on some water before you get there, as you will not be allowed any water after the drink.

Drinking the Glucola...

The rule for both tests is that you have 5 minutes to get it down. I know some people's first instinct would be to just chug that thing down as fast as you can and be done with it. But I wouldn't really suggest that. Before you start drinking, make sure the drink is well chilled. If the place has not provided you with a cold glucola drink, you can ask them to put it over ice first. Also, (if you didn't bring your own like I did) ask for a straw to drink it with. Then spread the drink out over the 5 minutes. Don't worry, you will get it in...it's not actually that much to drink. Just take a sip or two, and take a break. Let your body acclimate to it instead of shocking it.

As far as the taste is concerned...neither of them are THAT bad. I got the fruit punch flavor for my 50 gram 1 hour test, and I quite enjoyed it. It tasted just like a red Gatorade to me. I had no problem at all drinking it down. For the 100 gram 3 hour test, I got the orange flavor. This one pretty much tasted like Sunkist. Because the sugar is so concentrated, it does burn the back of your throat, and I'll be honest...it's not the most pleasant thing ever. Just think of it as carbonation (like you would get from a soda) instead of grossing yourself out over the burn. (P.S. Ask for the orange flavor at the 3 hour if that isn't what they offer you. I heard that red one tastes like Robitussin.)

During the wait...

Now it's time to wait. This was the part I was most nervous about...because I heard of all these horror stories of people feeling so awful from drinking that nasty drink (which in all actuality is not that nasty at all). I honestly felt perfectly fine from it during both tests. And I truly believe this part is ALL in your head. Keep this in mind...I can almost guarantee (unless you are a complete health nut and avoid sugar all the time at all costs) you have absolutely consumed this amount of sugar before without even giving it a second thought or realizing it. A can of regular soda has something like 32 grams of sugar in it. And think about the serving sizes of soda at your favorite fast food chain! But if you sit there and focus on how you're feeling, what's going on in your body, and how gross you thought that drink was...you might not feel all that great. If instead you keep a positive attitude, think about how it actually wasn't so bad after all, and keep your mind busy focusing on other things...you will be just fine.

That being said, bring things to help pass the time and keep you distracted during your wait. The 1 hour will fly by in no time (you can probably pass that time on your cell phone). But bringing a book would be a good idea as well, to help your mind go somewhere else. For the 3 hour, I brought a tote full of stuff! I brought my makeup bag and did my makeup after I had the drink because I knew that would keep me busy and focusing on something else. I also brought envelopes to address for my husband's diaper party, a book, and my laptop with a movie from Redbox to watch. Plenty of options...plenty of distractions. Better yet, bring someone with you to help you pass the time. My husband came with to my 3 hour, and I didn't even end up needing most of the things I brought. Like I said, I did my makeup and also addressed some envelopes the first hour. But, after that draw, they told me we could walk around and just return back every hour for the blood draw. So we wandered around the hospital, went and relaxed outside in the nice weather, and went to the chapel and prayed. The time went much faster than I expected. (The first hour is also a fun time to spend with your baby as he or she is also on a sugar high during that time (poor thing!)...trust me when I say they will be flipping and kicking and moving all over in there!)

After the test...

Congratulations! You made it! And now it's time to reward yourself. I was stressed about this part too, because I didn't know what to eat after the test. I was paranoid to eat something with too much sugar or carbs since my body just went through all that. But the nurse at my 3 hour told me to go ahead and go for it and have a nice, big meal. The test is designed so that your blood sugar should return to normal by the time you are done with it. But you will have a sugar crash (since you fasted), so don't wait! Go right away and get some food to stabilize your body again. If you can, take a little nap not long after, because you will eventually get really sleepy feeling. You should feel good as new after that! Just stay calm, wait for your results, and hope for the best!

Finally, remember that no matter the result of your test...all will be fine. I'm taking this as my gentle reminder that although my sweet tooth has been a little out of control during this pregnancy, it is important to keep it in check and nourish myself and my baby boy as well as possible. And while gestational diabetes is far from the most ideal thing to deal with during your last trimester of pregnancy...there are many things that could be far worse. It is absolutely manageable and 100% worth it to hold your sweet little baby in your arms in just a few short months.

27 Weeks

How far along? 27 weeks, 4 days
Total weight gain/loss: officially up 17 pounds at my last appointment on Friday. And for whatever reason, those extra 2 pounds shocked me. (Apparently I thought I would hit the 15 pound mark and stop!) Wishful thinking Emily...
Maternity clothes? My favorite pair of regular AE jeans are officially out of commission. Greg had to inform me on Friday night that I am officially too pregnant for them. Just kidding...I knew myself. It had been a while since I tried to use the rubber band trick, and the zipper officially will not zip AT ALL.
Stretch marks? I mean...not really. I have my old ones, and possibly a few very light new ones. But so far so good. I've been pleasantly surprised.
Sleep: Sleep is good! As long as I get enough of it...I'm not complaining!
Best moment this week: Hearing my very active baby boy's heartbeat at my appointment. It's always so awesome and such a relief to hear it!
Miss Anything? my favorite AE jeans haha
Movement: Yep. Even caught it on video this morning.
Food cravings: Who knows any more. It's a surprise every day. Apparently I am craving meat AND sweets. I don't even know how much I believe in pregnancy cravings. It's just more like whatever sounds good to me that day...which oftentimes happens to be a burger with bacon on it, fruit & cake.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Gender: It's A Boy! (Mason)
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: I've been quite emotional this past week (helloooo third trimester). Anyone who knows me knows I don't tend to be a very emotional person. I rarely ever cry. But this week has been a different story. (I cried this morning watching a family's YouTube vlog of their daughter's first dance recital. I don't know these people...but I went ahead and cried right along with them while they watched her on stage for the first time...baha)
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Wednesday morning to be over with. Here's why...

Update on my 1 hr glucose screening: I didn't pass. I failed BY 2 POINTS. And I am completed gutted about it. The test itself was totally fine. I cannot tell you how worked up I was worrying that this drink was going to make me throw up, pass out...who knows. But it tasted delicious, just like Gatorade (I got the fruit punch flavor) and I felt perfectly fine after drinking it. But when it came down to numbers, a 135 or below was fine...and my reading was 137. So now I have to go to the hospital sometime this week (I am going Wednesday morning) to take the 3 hour test to find out if I have gestational diabetes. My doctor said not to worry about it, and she really didn't believe I would have it because I was so close to passing. But I've just been completely devastated all week about this whole thing. Mostly because, again, I am worried about it making me sick. It is double the dose of the 1 hr test and you have to do it after fasting overnight. AND because I have to sit at the hospital for 3.5 hours while they draw blood from me every hour. (Doesn't exactly sound like a party). Please say a little prayer for me that the test goes smoothly, (that I don't puke) and that I pass with flying colors!

Second Trimester Must Haves

Today marks the day that I officially move into my third trimester of pregnancy! Seriously...where does the time go? It seems like it was just Christmas when Greg and I found out that we were expecting our first child. Now, 27 weeks later...here we are with a baby belly, a fully furnished nursery, and less than 3 months to go before our baby boy Mason arrives!

I'm not going to lie, approaching pregnancy, I was completely terrified of it. I think all women naturally have some degree of fear over pregnancy and childbirth. But it is certainly amplified by all the horror stories we hear! Well, I'm here to tell you that (at least for me, and most women I believe) pregnancy is not that bad! Yes, all the symptoms you hear about are generally true and fairly universal. But nothing unmanageable or completely miserable. For me, it's been quite the opposite, and I am truly enjoying my pregnancy thus far. Of course, there were a few things that made this trimester a little more comfortable for me. So without further ado, here are my favorite items and top tips for the second trimester!

Snoogle Total Body Pillow - If you clicked the link, yes...you read that right. I'm telling you this $60 pillow is a must have item during the second (and third) trimester. It took me quite a while to convince myself of this (I went to Babies R Us 3 separate times with the intention of buying it and never did). I would get there, put it in my cart, and by the time I got to the register I would have completely talked myself out of it. I thought a) I would rather spend the money on stuff for the baby and b) it already took up my whole stinking shopping cart, I can't imagine that massive thing in my bed! But when I woke up one morning during my 24th week of pregnancy with back pain so bad I could barely breathe...I knew I had to have it. And let me just tell you...this thing is worth every penny. I have never once woken up with a sore or achy back since I got it. Just do yourself a favor and get one as soon as you start feeling like that in the morning...I promise you won't regret it. (If you follow what I tell you below about Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby coupons...you won't pay that much anyway!)

Motherhood V-neck Maternity Pocket Tees - Buy them in every color! I did! I picked up this top in black one day at a Buy Buy Baby (they sell Motherhood clothing there too) and it soon became my favorite top. Soon enough, I was running to Motherhood to pick it up in oatmeal, pink, purple & navy. I love that they don't look at all like a maternity top, (there is no ruching on the sides) but somehow they continue to expand and grow with your bump, and still be the perfect length. They're easy to pair with any jeans or shorts, a maxi skirt, or your lovely black maternity leggings! Grab a cardigan or zip up if it's cooler out and you're good to go. I pretty much wear one almost every day of the week. And I know they will continue to be a postpartum staple in my wardrobe as well. Bonus: Motherhood often has deals where if you buy 2 or more you get them for less than $10 each!

Goody Ouchless Hair Elastics - Everyone has heard of the good old rubber band trick right?! Just loop one of these onto the button of your jeans, under and through the button hole on the other side, and back around the button and you've instantly gained a few more inches on your waistband. If you utilize this trick, you should be able to get through a good part of the second trimester in your regular jeans. I also wore maternity jeans throughout the second trimester, but this way...I was able to purchase less maternity-wear, and still rock my favorite pair of jeans!

Starbucks Black Tea Lemonade - A Trenta Iced Black Tea Lemonade, Unsweetened, to be exact. This is quite possibly my favorite thing in the world right now. For the most part, I eliminated caffeine from my diet during my first trimester, but once I hit the second, I was looking for a way to safely indulge in a minimal amount of caffeine every day. This big old drink only has 85-90 mg of caffeine in it. Given my love of black tea and my pregnancy craving for lemonade...this drink was a win, win, win. And for whatever reason, I just feel like it make me feel good! I pretty much get one every day, and it's not a good day until I've had my black tea lemonade. (Add a warm butter croissant every now and then and I'm in heaven!)

Hydration tip: I get my black tea lemonade in morning and sip on it slowly through the early afternoon. After it's gone, I fill the cup back up with ice, throw in a couple lemon slices, and continue filling it with water and drinking it throughout the entire day. Hydration is so important throughout your entire pregnancy, so it's important to find something that works for you to get all that water in for you and your baby!

Babies R Us Baby Registry - I cannot say enough good things about Babies R Us and their customer service. I am serious when I say they really and truly want to make you happy and get you the best deal possible. (I always joke that it's either that, or they are just really scared to mess with pregnant women!) I'm speaking of my own experience here, but many of the women in my online pregnancy support group agree...Babies R Us rocks! I would 100% recommend choosing to have your main baby registry there. This is not only because of the excellent customer service, but also the awesome benefits and rewards you will receive from having it there. When you create your registry, if you don't have one already, they will also sign you up for a free Babies R Us Rewards card/account. It is VERY IMPORTANT that every time you buy anything from there, you have them scan this card. The more you buy, the more you will begin to get back in rewards dollars. Yup...that's free money to spend in the store! It is also VERY IMPORTANT that anything you buy, you put on your registry first (and have them scan that as well when you checkout). When all is said and done, Babies R Us will give you a gift card for 10% back on everything that is purchased off of your registry. Also pay attention to their monthly sales ads, as they are always discounting certain items for an entire month! You will seriously feel like you are constantly getting reimbursed for your patronage to their store. How nice!

Buy Buy Baby Coupons - Collect these babies like they are gold! Ask your friends and family for theirs if they don't use them (but also don't forget to let them know they can use them when they go to purchase gifts from your registry). Now, Babies R Us is not going to flat out tell you this, but they will except Buy Buy Baby coupons. It took me and my mom a while to figure this out (we were wondering why they were always asking if we had any coupons to use!) But since then, I have been getting some epic deals at that store. That Snoogle pillow, for example...I only paid $25 for (I used a 20% off Buy Buy Baby coupon, and stacked $25 in Babies R Us reward dollars on top of that). Just think about it...20% off your $300 baby monitor is a huge savings! (Buy Buy Baby is affiliated with Bed Bath & Beyond, so they're coupons work too wooHoo!)

Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter - I truly don't believe there is any product out there that will completely prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. I'm pretty sure this is mostly a genetic thing, and that some (most) women eventually get them and some lucky ones don't. But I do believe it is much more likely for stretch marks to form if you do nothing to take care of and hydrate the skin around your belly throughout pregnancy (especially from this trimester on). So I would say a good cream or body butter for your newly growing baby belly is a must have! I love ALL Burt's Bees Mama and Baby products, so this is the one I love and would recommend. It's a good price point for an all natural product that will keep your belly super moisturized and feeling great all day long. I know that I am personally prone to stretch marks as I have some super faded old ones from weight gain in the past. I have used the Mama Bee Belly Butter since the middle of the first trimester, and besides my old ones becoming a little more pronounced due to my stretching belly...I just noticed maybe 2-3 tiny new ones recently. And I've never had an itchy preggo belly. So in my opinion...I would say this stuff absolutely does it's job!

Black Maternity Leggings - It doesn't matter where you get them, but get them! Just because they are so, so comfy. I am not one of those people that will go running around town in leggings, but these are my go-to for whenever I am home, relaxing. There, you can pretty much bet you will find me in my black over-the-belly maternity leggings and one of my colored Motherhood v-necks. (I also recommend these for whenever you start your childbirth prep classes; because you will be on the floor, on an exercise mat, with pillows, doing breathing exercises. All the other ladies came comfy to the first day but me...and I was jealous. I will be wearing these to every subsequent class!)

Tums -Yup. Heartburn is one of those pregnancy symptoms you hear about that is definitely true and fairly universal once you hit the second trimester. There are certain antacids that are off limits for pregnant women, but Tums are in the safe zone! Pop two and they literally work immediately. I've been lucky and haven't suffered from heartburn too badly (yet). But it is inevitably uncomfortable whenever it happens. So I just carry the whole stinking bottle around with me at all times just in case! (They will come in handy when you decide that jalapenos on your nachos or burger sounds like a good idea. It's not BTW...)

Online Pregnancy Support Group - (from the What To Expect app). This was my #1 most important item on my First Trimester Survival Guide and it's still my #1 pregnancy fave today. The What To Expect App in general is wonderful during pregnancy (I would personally recommend you skip the book and just go straight to this). But the best part of it for me was finding the community that I did through it. When you sign up for the app, they automatically place you in a group with other mommas expecting a baby the same month as you. My group all started talking on there and then decided to create a private Facebook group so we could put faces to names and have an easier means of communicating with one another. And the WTE September 2015 Babies group was born. From there, we decided to break down into smaller groups based off the week we were expecting our babies...so I fell into the September 1st-7th group...the Cherry Babies! We formed our own private Facebook group, (about 50 of us all due in the same week) and the rest is history. These girls are seriously my daily lifeline! I sometimes don't know what I would do without them during this pregnancy. Any questions I have...I go to them. Any complaints I have...I go to them. And any joys or special moments I have...I share with them. The advice, understanding and support I receive from them is amazing. It really is my biggest comfort to have a group of women who are all going through the same thing as me, at the exact same time. (And I can't wait to see everyone's sweet little babies' faces popping up on the screen in a few months to come!)

Edy's Outshine Fruit Bars - Finally, what would this guide be if I didn't include a treat in there for the sweet tooth mommas-to-be like me! I have been craving all things sweet, including fruit, this entire trimester. I always want a sweet after lunch AND dinner, (annndd pretty much throughout the rest of the day too.) But as much as I would love to, I know I really can't be eating cake, and cookies, and ice cream all day long. So this was one of my solutions. Now, I'm not going to lie here...I still do eat a big old slice of cake or do an ice cream run a couple times a week. But on the other days, I try to stick to having one of these at night as my treat. They are only 70 calories, are fat-free, gluten-free, and have none of the yucky stuff (high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors or flavors). It's all real fruit! And they are really good! My favorites are the Strawberry and the Lemon. But I also love a Lime when we have Mexican on Monday nights...tastes like I'm having a Margarita for dessert! (wishful thinking...haha)

And that's it! The things I have been living and loving throughout my second trimester. So cheers to a healthy & happy Trimester 2! If you give any of these things try...let me know how they work for you!

26 Weeks

How far along? 26 weeks, 4 days (only 2 more days until the third trimester...whoa momma!)
Total weight gain/loss: think I'm still right around 15 pounds up
Maternity clothes? Still mixing and matching both, but I'm pretty much sticking strictly to maternity bottoms now. Because once you get used to rocking those maternity jeans...why not wear them? They are so much more comfortable! (I prefer the over-the-belly kind)
Stretch marks? I can see some translucent ones. Most are old, but a few are new. Just happy they aren't super noticeable. Using Mustela Intensive Action cream to treat & prevent!
Sleep: Still sleeping great, and not waking up sore at all thanks to my Snoogle pillow! (I've also figured out that I will be able to use it as a support pillow while I breastfeed postpartum. Those things are seriously so worth the money!)
Best moment this week: Giggling away with Greg at our first childbirth prep class as he very seriously instructed me to 'breathe in...breathe out' through fake contractions. (Better giggle and enjoy it now, because I know I won't be on the real day!) But in all seriousness, I am really enjoying those classes so far & starting to feel much more prepared for d-day (delivery day) thanks to them!
Miss Anything? not really
Movement: Yes! More often and for longer periods of time now. Little man is definitely growing bigger & stronger in there because he's starting to pack a good punch every now and then!
Food cravings: Cookie Cake & bacon. Separately...not together. And any juicy kind of fruit! Nectarines, oranges, watermelon...(thank God I have at least one healthy craving!)
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Gender: It's A Boy! (Mason)
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Heartburn, but not terrible, bleeding gums when I floss. Nothing new...nothing big.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: my baby shower! NOT looking forward to my glucose test this Thursday (eek! I'm so praying that I pass this test so I can safely continue to indulge in sweets during the rest of my pregnancy. Wish me luck!)

P.S. Second Trimester Must Haves post will be up Thursday! I seriously can't believe how fast these first two flew by!
