Welcome to my blog! I'm Emily, wife to Greg, and soon-to-be momma to our first baby boy or girl.
Here's my story. I first met my husband 'while he was sleeping' after coming out of a coma from a major car accident. I wouldn't exactly call it love at first sight. It took about a year and a half and several 'set ups' later for us to decide to give it a chance. We started dating in November of 2008 and quickly fell in love. I graduated from Augustana College in the Spring and moved back home to my parents' house, (which just so happened to be 3 blocks away from Greg's!)
A year later, we got engaged and got to work planning our dream wedding together (which went off without a hitch) on August 13, 2011. After our honeymoon cruise, I officially moved into Greg's house and made it our home. This was when I found my true passions for homemaking and decorating, and finally decided to open my own Etsy shop, EMBELLISH by Emily.
In November of 2014, after 6 years together (and 3 years of marriage), we decided it was time to start a family. Our world changed forever when just a month later, on Christmas night, we found out there was a bun in the oven! I started this blog to document my journey through pregnancy and motherhood.
